Terms & Conditions for Use of Acuité Connect
1. Acceptance and scope
By accessing or using Acuité Connect, each employee or authorised user agrees to these Terms & Conditions. Connect is an internal workplace platform made available by Acuité Ratings & Research Limited for communication, engagement, knowledge-sharing, internal recognition, and limited employee participation features.
2. Nature of Connect
Connect is an internal, workplace-safe, social and communication platform. It is meant to support engagement and collaboration, but it does not replace formal management processes, HR processes, approval workflows, expense policies, employee handbooks, compensation structures, or any other official company policy or contract.
3. No claim, demand, or enforceable entitlement
Posts, notices, listings, comments, approvals, invitations, recognitions, Acuite Coin balances, store requests, library activity, leadership interactions, or any other feature on Connect are operational or engagement tools only. They must not be used to create or support any claim, demand, expectation, or legal position against the organisation beyond what is expressly available under official company policy and separately authorised records.
4. Admin review, moderation, and discretion
Admins and authorised reviewers act on a best-effort basis. The organisation may approve, defer, edit, reject, remove, or close any request, post, comment, message, store request, library request, or other submission at its sole discretion and without giving any reason. Timing, visibility, sequencing, or outcome of any action on Connect is not guaranteed.
5. Employee conduct and content standards
Users must keep all content professional, lawful, respectful, accurate, and suitable for an internal workplace platform. The organisation may remove or restrict any content that is misleading, offensive, defamatory, confidential beyond permitted sharing, disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with workplace standards.
6. Leadership, admin, and company communication
Announcements, MD & CEO messages, responses, employee notes, approvals, and internal publications on Connect are intended for internal communication and engagement only. They do not amend employment terms, compensation, leave, benefits, appraisal decisions, or any legal or policy obligations unless separately issued through the organisation’s formal channels.
7. Acuite Coins
Acuite Coins are an internal engagement mechanism only. They are not cash, salary, wages, a cash equivalent, stored value, reimbursement, incentive compensation, negotiable property, or a transferable right. Acuite Coins may be awarded, withheld, reversed, adjusted, expired, or cancelled by the organisation at its discretion in line with Connect rules and administrative controls.
- Acuite Coins cannot be encashed, transferred, assigned, sold, or exchanged for money.
- Any merchandise or redemption request remains subject to stock, admin approval, and handover completion.
- Unused or unspent Acuite Coin balance expires on 31 March each year.
- Unused or unspent Acuite Coin balance also expires on the employee’s day of exit from the organisation.
- The organisation’s ledger and administrative records will be final for Acuite Coin accounting.
8. Library, store, and internal facilities
Library items, store items, events, meetings, training opportunities, and similar facilities shown on Connect are subject to availability, internal controls, stock limits, operational feasibility, and administrative discretion. Display on Connect does not amount to a guaranteed allocation, reservation, or entitlement.
9. Data, audit, and monitoring
Connect is an internal company system. Activity on the platform may be logged, reviewed, moderated, audited, and retained for operational, compliance, security, and governance purposes. Users should use Connect with the understanding that the organisation may monitor and administer the platform in its legitimate business interest.
10. Intellectual property and internal-use rights
All platform design, internal templates, company content, branding, and system outputs remain the property of the organisation or its licensors. By posting content on Connect, users grant the organisation the right to review, store, display, moderate, reproduce internally, and remove that content for the administration of the platform.
11. Suspension, change, or discontinuation
The organisation may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of Connect, including any feature, workflow, coin rule, approval flow, page, post type, or internal utility, at any time and without prior notice. Continued use after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Finality of organisational decision
In the event of any disagreement regarding use of Connect, moderation, eligibility, approvals, Acuite Coin balances, expiry, reversals, access, or internal posting rights, the organisation’s decision and records will prevail, subject only to any stricter requirement under formal company policy.
